Soccer for Cancer
Waterloo United is proud to launch our Soccer for Cancer initiative this July in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Throughout the month, the club will be raising funds to support cancer research, advocacy, and support services, with all fundraising efforts leading into our Community Engagement Week from July 20–25.
During Community Engagement Week, every home match will be dedicated to giving back to our community. Proceeds from every ticket sold during our designated Soccer for Cancer matches will be donated toward our fundraising goal for the Canadian Cancer Society. Supporters attending our matches on July 22 and July 24 will also have the opportunity to recognize and honour someone in their life who has been impacted by cancer.
In addition, teams across Waterloo United will compete to raise the most funds throughout the campaign, with the top fundraising team earning a club pizza party. Donors are encouraged to include the name of the team they are supporting in the donation notes.
