VOLUNTEER

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

WMSC relies on the generosity of volunteer coaches for our Recreational House League soccer programs. Volunteering is a terrific way to get involved in soccer, while at the same time supporting your club and your community. Coaches, if you are not the primary account holder in the Power Up registration system,  you are required to have an individual account with a unique email address. Once you have created your profile you can volunteer with the club by clicking the VOLUNTEER NOW in the main menu. Returning coaches – please use your current coaching profile.

COACHING CREDIT – HOUSE LEAGUE

To better recognize the volunteer Head Coaches/Game Leaders in the House League Program, WMSC is offering a $50.00 coaching credit to those who successfully complete the full season which can be used toward future programming. This credit does not apply to the U3 Parent & Child program.

VULNERABLE SECTOR RECORDS CHECK

The Waterloo Minor Soccer Club requires that all of our volunteers complete and provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check. Vulnerable sector checks are valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

Volunteers can learn more and apply for their Police Vulnerable Sector Check online on the WRPS web page.  The online application is recommended. Applications can also be submitted in person at the WRPS Reporting Centre.

A letter may be required for the in-person application and can be found by clicking here. Beginning January 2020, WRPS charges a $20.00 fee for the background check. This fee will be refunded by WMSC when the completed Police Vulnerable Sector Check is submitted to WMSC along with the completed Applicant Declaration form.
