Once you have created your profile you can volunteer with the club by clicking the VOLUNTEER NOW in the main menu. Returning coaches – please use your current coaching profile.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Waterloo United presents an indoor recreational program led by Volunteer Parent Coaches and following a curriculum developed by professional staff and approved by Canada Soccer. Our approach incorporates research approved strategies to help keep kids engaged, having fun and learning some skills through implicit learning.
What can you expect in each 50-minute session:
- U8 – 16 Sessions will commence with a warm up followed by 40 min (2×20 min) of game play. All games must be completed within the 50 min regardless of how much time is remaining. Parent volunteer coaches are required.
- Match officials will be provided for U8+
We are excited to be able to provide a safe and progressive recreational soccer program that will help keep your son and daughter engaged in physical activity, enjoying soccer with their peers and improving their competence and confidence over the winter months. All players must register in their age appropriate divisions.
Program Modification (if required):
If in the event government mandates do not allow for game play at any point throughout the season, sessions to be adjusted to ensure distance is maintained and all mandates are met.
A focus will be put play-based physical literacy through fun activities both with and without a soccer ball. While players may have to remain distanced, playing with teammates and friends is a key component of the program so interactive drills while remaining safely apart will be implemented.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Volunteer Parent Coaches | Each player receives a full uniform (shirt, shorts, socks) |
Quality indoor facility | Participation medals or Division awards depending on age group |
TEAMMATE REQUEST
