Waterloo Minor Soccer Club is pleased to support Food4Kids Waterloo Region this holiday season with a Food Drive! Starting Friday, November 18th, 2022 we are inviting all members to participate in our food drive by dropping off much needed food items at our RIM Park office. The office will be open on Friday, November 18th, from 10AM – 5PM. Following that, you can drop off food items during our office hours: Monday – Thursday between 4PM – 9PM, and Saturday between 10AM – 1PM.
Food4Kids has their Holiday Break Campaign, where they provide food packages to the children they support to get them through the 16 days of the break at the end of the year. This is a tough time for children living with chronic hunger – they dread school breaks as they won’t have access to the school nutrition program. This is a significant cost – $50,000 to support kids from December 23rd when the bell rings at the end of the day until they return to school on January 9th, 2023 – nourished and ready to learn. The below image indicates the most needed food items.
Every effort we make counts towards making a positive impact on kids in the Waterloo Region, so let’s take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!
