WMSC relies on the generosity of volunteer coaches for our Recreational House League soccer programs. Volunteering is a terrific way to get involved in soccer, while at the same time supporting your club and your community. Coaches, if you are not the primary account holder in the Power Up registration system,  you are required to have an individual account with a unique email address. Once you have created your profile you can volunteer with the club by clicking the VOLUNTEER NOW in the main menu. Returning coaches – please use your current coaching profile.

Waterloo United presents an indoor recreational program led by Volunteer Parent Coaches/Game Leaders and following a curriculum developed by professional staff and approved by Canada Soccer. Our approach incorporates research approved strategies to help keep kids engaged, having fun and learning some skills through implicit learning.

What can you expect in each 50-minute session:

  • U8 – 16 Sessions will commence with a warm up followed by 40 min (2×20 min) of game play. All games must be completed within the 50 min regardless of how much time is remaining. Parent volunteer coaches/game leaders are required.
  • Match officials will be provided for U10+.

We are excited to be able to provide a safe and progressive recreational soccer program that will help keep your son and daughter engaged in physical activity, enjoying soccer with their peers and improving their competence and confidence over the winter months. All players must register in their age appropriate divisions.

Program Modification (if required):

If in the event government mandates do not allow for game play at any point throughout the season, sessions to be adjusted to ensure distance is maintained and all mandates are met.

A focus will be put play-based physical literacy through fun activities both with and without a soccer ball. While players may have to remain distanced, playing with teammates and friends is a key component of the program so interactive drills while remaining safely apart will be implemented.

Volunteer Parent Coaches Each player receives a full uniform (shirt, shorts, socks)
Quality indoor facility Participation medals or Division awards depending on age group

WMSC will make every effort to accommodate placement on a team with ONE other registered player if submitted by the September 21st deadline. All teammate requests must be one-to-one reciprocated requests. One-sided requests will not be considered.
