** Based on the Provincial Phase 1 Reopening Guidelines, we will need to delay the start of the season. All recreational programs are now scheduled to start in July, once we have confirmation about the details and have entered Phase 2 of the reopening. We will have more details and dates for you in the coming weeks once we have received sport-specific information from the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN **
WMSC aligns its Recreational program with Ontario Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) program. LTPD is about putting the player first and offering age-appropriate opportunities for kids to enjoy the game of soccer. Making the game fun is key in teaching and coaching so that players will continue in the game and may even coach or referee as they get older.

PLAYER CHECK-IN HOW-TO
Ongoing health checks and COVID-19 screenings have become the new normal for many sports organizations as a key safety measure suggested by local governments and health regulators. For Waterloo Minor Soccer Clubs 2021 Outdoor Recreational Season, ALL MEMBERS MUST use the ‘Check-In’ Now app created by our service provider, PowerUp Sports. This feature will allow parents/guardians to easily use a screening tool that can be self-administered by participants prior to each group activity/session. For the complete document, please click here.
Parents are required to download the PowerUp app and complete the Covid-19 questionnaire on the PoweUp app to show their child is “Checked In” prior to the player entering the field. Please see the attached information on how to download and use the app.
WMSC will make every effort to accommodate placement on a team with ONE other registered player if submitted by the April 30th deadline. All teammate requests must be one-to-one reciprocated requests. One-sided requests will not be considered. Should you have special circumstances or medical conditions that merit special consideration, please provide a note in writing once your registration has been completed. WMSC Teammate Request Policy
